Why Do I Love Photography?

Why start a photography business in this age of digital photography??
Lots of reasons really!
I have always loved photography - even back to when I was a kid and had to beg my mom to buy me film and then have it developed!  ... Yes, I said film! Yes, I'm that old!
This is the most photographed generation, ever.  Yet, how many of us really have taken the time to find an amazing photograph - even off our phone and actually have it printed out into an heirloom portrait wall hanging?  Something that will last forever - I'll give you a minute to try and remember!  Sure you used to take your children to the local "big box store" and have your children's portraits done at 1, 3, and 5- then they went off to school and had their portraits done - gosh don't we just love looking back at those awesome clothing and hair styles we had back in the 80s?
That is one of the reasons why I love photography - to look back!  Part of my morning ritual is not to read the paper (do they still make that??) but to look at my Facebook memories - not what I said but at the pictures!
Pictures capture such emotion - no you don't always want the "cheese" picture - but that raw emotion!  So why start a photography business in the year 2017?  When cameras are with us 24/7?  There is so much to be said for an everyday snapshot with ducklips or a dab - those pictures capture who you are everyday.  Sometimes we are looking so much to capture everything around us, we forget to enjoy that moment.
Let Brass Frog help you enjoy that moment!  When was the last time you had a family portrait session - an heirloom that will last 100 years (not printed at your local drug store - in another blog I will discuss why photographers don't do this!), a session that is framed and hung on your wall for future generations - a timeless look.
Starting a photography business in 2017 seems almost insane when there are so many "photographers" that will just hand you all of their images on a memory stick  - but when was the last time you printed them?  What will happen to that memory stick when your computer can't read it any more?  Where will those photographs go?
Start the year 2018 out right - whether you have a family or it's you, whether you have a family pet or not, maybe you have 10 children or just one - start the year out with Brass Frog Photography and start the year with new framed artwork of you on your walls!
